Seven Morning Rituals of the Super Achiever

You have heard that success leaves clues, so what is it exactly that successful people do to reach the heights they achieve?
They have rituals that guide them and take them to the next level, and those rituals start from the very minute that they wake up.
Here are seven things my research shows that super achievers do from the moment they wake up:

#1 Get out of bed immediately upon waking up.
Successful people wake up early…oh and I can just hear you groan right now. "Man I was all into this till I heard that I have to get up early!!" Well the bottom line is that most wealthy people wake up at least 2 hours before their work-day starts.
Don't wake up to a clanging alarm or to the radio. Set your alarm to play a motivational inspirational audio track so that you program your brain with a positive message while in an alpha brain wave state.
Now jump out of bed…don't lie in bed "trying" to sleep some more…get the day started, momentum is critical and hitting the snooze alarm breaks your momentum and sets you up to fail.

#2. List the things you are grateful for
The moment your feet hit the floor mentally list the things that you are grateful for. Start with yourself and move further outward from you to your loved ones and then to all that you have in your life.
This sets the tone for positive feelings and allows you to focus on what you do have, and not what you don't have.

#3. Drink a large glass of water
Drinking a large glass of water first thing will get your metabolism going and kick start a healthy day. We are all dehydrated and especially so after sleeping for 6-8 hours, so rehydrate your body as soon as possible.
Also thirst is sometimes interpreted as hunger by our brains so drinking before eating allows you to eat less than you normally would.

#4. Read an inspirational book for 5-15 minutes
You are in an Alpha brain wave state for about 30 minutes after waking so instead of watching the news, or reading your email, or Facebook or the newspaper, read a positive success book so that you program your mind for success.

#5. Go outside and move you body
Get outside and exercise, this could be as simple as some stretching and a fast paced walk. Exercise releases feel good chemicals in our body and gets the day going. Walk for 15 to 45 minutes and look around at the day waking up and be grateful for the fantastic opportunities that will come your way.

#6. Eat a healthy breakfast
Eat a wholesome healthy breakfast within an hour of waking up. So far your day has been 15 minutes of reading and 45 minutes of walking and now it is time for a good healthy breakfast. You know this is the most important meal of the day so don't skip this.
Get 25 to 33% of your daily calories as your breakfast. Focus on real food for breakfast, things like fruit, oats, smoothies, and maybe even some free range eggs are good options.

#7. Visualize a successful day
Now its time to set your intention for the type of day you want to have. Take a few moments to see your entire day happen in your minds eye. This lets your Reticular Activating System know what type of day you want to have.
